Also means
to aggravate
Usage Note
Agravar means to make a situation, illness, or conflict worse. The reflexive agravarse is used when a condition worsens on its own: la herida se agravó (the wound worsened). Do not confuse it with agraviar (to offend, to wrong someone), which is a completely different verb sharing the same root.
Examples
"El frío agravó la enfermedad."
Natural Translation
The cold made the illness worse.
