Usage Note
Actuar means to act (behave) or to perform on stage/screen. It follows the -uar conjugation pattern, placing a written accent on the u in stressed forms (actúo, actúas, actúan) to prevent a diphthong. Do not confuse with hacer (to do/make) — actuar stresses the nature or quality of the action, or performance in particular.
